I believe that artists have a responsibility to their customers. Therefore, all of my work uses artist-quality, lightfast paints on acid-free 100% cotton paper. I mat each painting with acid-free matboard and backing that will stand the test of time. If you would like to buy one of the paintings in my art gallery, please Contact me. In the future, I may also offer giclée prints of my work.

A message from the artist:

intropic

Welcome! My name is Carla Thibodeau, and I am a watercolour artist. When I decided to try to master watercolour painting, I knew that I needed to do something to keep myself on track. I thought that an online journal might help me stay focused, as well as providing me with a space to showcase my art. Two years later, it seems to be working.

I am entirely self-taught, although I must give some credit to the amazing artists who post on WetCanvas. This community has been crucial to my learning process. The artists hail from all over the world, and range from absolute beginners to veteran painters. Their forums are filled with tips, advice, and lively debates that have taught me more than any book ever could. Now I participate from time to time, to pass on what I’ve learned to new painters.

I currently live in New Brunswick, Canada, working as a graphic designer (you can visit my portfolio here). Someday, I would like to travel and sketch/paint the places I visit. I think I’d start with travelling across Canada, but I’d also like to visit most of Europe and possibly parts of Asia.

My other  interests include reading, creative writing, and martial arts. I’m a fan of a wide range of nerdy stuff, including Star Trek, Star Wars, and several anime series. My favourite author is Terry Pratchett, but I also enjoy Neil Gaiman, J.K. Rowling, and J.R.R. Tolkien. I’ve previously dabbled in all sorts of art forms, including acrylic painting, drawing, digital art, and photography. I have also experimented with cosplay, leather work, calligraphy, and bird watching.

Please reach me using this form if you would like to purchase one of my paintings. I will contact you with payment details and to arrange shipping if necessary. You can also ask about commissioning a painting or ordering a giclée print. I try to answer all serious enquiries promptly.

Let me know about any art sales or craft shows happening in southern New Brunswick. I’m also interested in hearing about any art clubs or watercolour societies I might be eligible to join. Tell me what you think of my website, or just say hi! I’d love to hear from you!
